Margaret Cavendish was an aristocrat writer who was a go-getter so to say by publishing under her own name which was rare for women of that time. She wrote on many topics that were important in society including gender and power. She was a groundbreaking writer for natural philosophy as she was the first woman of the seventeenth century to publish under that context.
