Finch was a very diverse writer of poetry in her works mainly of her private thoughts and struggles made known that she was aware of the societal flows during that time. Over time, her writing really changed as she put in "old verse" into her works which reflected religious poetry of that time. Finch belongs to her age and is revered for her experimentation of different odes and verses.
